Uniforms & Equipment

Uniforms & Equipment

What Bedford Eagles players need for practices, games and the basketball season.

Getting Ready for the Season

Players do not need a large amount of personal equipment to participate in Bedford Eagles basketball.

Bedford Eagles provides the use of game uniforms and the shared team equipment required for regular practices and games.

Families are responsible for suitable indoor footwear, comfortable athletic clothing, a labelled water bottle and any personal medical or protective items required by the player.

Game Uniforms

Bedford Eagles players are assigned to teams and provided with an approved club game uniform for use during the season.

Club uniforms remain the property of Bedford Eagles and must be returned at the end of the season.

Players should wear only the approved Bedford Eagles uniform during scheduled league games unless otherwise directed by the club or team.

Uniform details may vary by program or age division. Families will receive any program-specific information after teams and groups are finalized.

Uniforms Must Be Returned

Assigned Bedford Eagles uniforms must be returned at the end of the season in reasonable condition.

A $100 replacement charge applies when an assigned uniform is not returned.

Families are asked to provide jersey and shorts sizing information during registration.

What Should Players Wear and Bring?

Practice Clothing

  • Comfortable athletic top or reversible jersey
  • Athletic shorts or athletic pants
  • Sports socks
  • Any required personal medical or protective equipment

Indoor Athletic Shoes

Specialized or expensive basketball shoes are not required.

Players need clean, supportive indoor athletic or basketball shoes with suitable traction and non-marking soles.

Water Bottle

Every player should bring a clearly labelled refillable water bottle to practices and games.

Equipment Provided by Bedford Eagles

Bedford Eagles provides the shared equipment required for regular team activities, including:

  • Team basketballs
  • Cones and training markers
  • Pinnies
  • First-aid supplies
  • Other coaching and player-development equipment

Players do not need to bring a personal basketball unless requested by their coach.

Basketball Sizes

Different age groups use different basketball sizes.

Bedford Eagles supplies team basketballs, so families do not need to purchase a ball for regular practices or games.

Families purchasing a basketball for home practice should confirm the appropriate size for the player’s age group before purchasing.

Label Personal Belongings

Water bottles, shoes, basketballs, jackets and other personal items should be clearly labelled with the player’s name.

Bedford Eagles is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, forgotten or left behind at facilities.
